Comedian Joe Rogan has always been a huge fighter of joke thieves. Mostly because a high percentage of comedians either don’t have the ability to fight for themselves, don’t know its happening or they just don’t care.
So in the past I have taken a few jabs at Carlos, using the internet and my camera. But what I filmed Saturday might just be the video to open people’s eyes to one of the biggest comedy frauds of all time. Joe Rogan got off stage, and an angry Carlos Mencia grabbed the microphone from the next comic and asked for Joe to come back for a comedy battle with the perfect outcome.

Wow. Joe seems like a good guy. Whether he’s stealing or not, Carlos Mencia is so bad that it’s seriously hard to watch the last minute of his show before The Daily Show comes on. It literally made me and my friends angry. Why does he get a show? There have to be dozens of better latino comics.

A video of an on-stage confrontation of Carlos Mencia by Joe Rogan is making huge waves. Does it irrefutably prove that Carlos is a joke thief….
Oh my fucking God. I felt mortified watching that. I’ve been following this feud pretty closely and that sort of showdown is exactly what I’ve been hoping for since day one but it was still so hard to watch.
Seriously one of the top 10 least comfortable moments I’ve ever witnessed. Ned just won’t fucking shut up.

The movie from this entry that was also posted on Youtube has now has the message “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Carlos Mencia”.
Way to go ‘Carlos’, or should I say Ned. One thing that copyright claims ALWAYS do is completely remove the issue from the public eye!! *cough* You could have responded to the movie and comments by Joe Rogan in any number of ways, but you chose to try to have the argument removed entirely. Something someone without anything to hide is most likely to do, of course.
You can’t see it on Youtube anymore. Carlos Mencia claimed it violated his copywrite.
Was he even doing a bit? Is it copywrited work whenever he goes on stage? WTF!

Since the release of comedy repo man Rogan’s whistleblowing exposé, it seems the fight has been pretty lopsided in Mencia’s favor, as Rogan blogs that he’s been given a time out at the Comedy Store (the site of the confrontation) and lost an agent over the brawl: My agent from the Gersh agency, who is the same guy that represents Carlos, spoke to me on the phone today. He told me that he was being “put in the middle of this thing, and forced to make a choice.” He said that Carlos wanted to get on the phone with me and end this once and for all, and get this… wanted an apology. If I didn’t do this, he wanted the Gersh agency to either drop me, or he would leave them. I told them that was fucking hilarious, and said that it’s been fun working with them. The fact that they would even consider asking me to do something like that meant I was going to leave them anyway, but the sheer stereotypical “hollywood” nature of conversation actually fucking shocked me. It was like a scene in a movie. Not even a current movie. More like that Kevin Bacon movie “The Big Picture” that was about the evils of Hollywood from the early 90’s. […] [...]

The worst villain in this is the Comedy Store! They BAN Rogan for defending everything that they themselves should be taking a public stand for. The perfect irony is that the Comedy Store’s ticket sales would probably double if they banned Herr Holness instead.
I hope that this helps Joe get more attention– as well as Ned. With all the scruitiny headed Ned’s way– he is doomed by the fact that he won’t be able to steal material with the obscure ease that he has in the past. If he can’t steal anything (without loudly being called on it) then he will rapidly lose everything (becuse he simply SUCKS).
Open Letter to Comedy Central-
The internets strike again, and another vortex opened between the black hole of the Comedy Store and the groundswell of humanity that is absorbing the mainstream out of existance.
Ha ha.
The underground of the comedy world has found a way for us to hear them, and I plead Comedy Central to listen to them.
Lets support the comics that don’t steal other peoples material. Let’s support some original artists in their non-pepsi shilling quirkyness.
Support the Jesters and send the clowns packing. They have had the center ring long enough.
The artistry of the Daily Show and the Colbert Report is excellent, and I laud Comedy Central for nurturing those babies.
But I feel that those shows are just the beginning of a renaisance in Humor in this country. We need something more than just amusing. We need to be slaping our knees and wrenching our guts laighing at ourselves, as a country, as a life form. Easy to make jokes at other peoples expense. More heroic to be able to laugh at ourselves

How the fuck is that copyright violation?
He wasnt doing a bit. That could be the only thing he could copyright (and even then, probably would have to pay they authors as well) to claim that there was ‘new’ material or even older stuff from a previous show.
He went off on someone and called him off, an argument ensued, I fail to see what is copyrighted.
Paparazzis and sites like TMZ.COM do this kind of stuff all the time.
